State Representative Jon Cross (R-Findlay) has expressed gratitude towards Governor DeWine for taking swift action in signing a disaster declaration to aid the Indian Lake community in its rebuilding efforts. Cross stated, "Thank you to Governor DeWine for signing a disaster declaration to help bring immediate support so the Indian Lake community can begin to rebuild."

Acknowledging the collaborative efforts in the community, Cross also commended Ohio Northern University for its preparedness to assist residents in need, saying, "I applaud Ohio Northern University which is on standby with its mobile pharmacy to help residents in need if called upon."

Furthermore, Cross extended his appreciation to the local businesses and residents of the 83rd district for their solidarity and support during this challenging time. He remarked, "I would also like to thank all the local businesses and residents of the 83rd district who have come together and shown a tremendous outpouring of support for their neighbors."

In light of the ongoing recovery operations, Cross emphasized the importance of developing both short and long-term plans to ensure the comprehensive rebuilding of Indian Lake. He stated, "As we continue with the recovery efforts we are working on both short and long-term plans to rebuild Indian Lake and ensure it comes back better than ever."

As the situation evolves, Cross assured the community of his commitment to providing updates on the assistance available, stating, "As more information becomes available, I will update you on how we can help our community."

Governor DeWine's disaster declaration includes various measures to support the affected areas, such as the deployment of additional generators, coordination with partner agencies for long-term housing solutions, mobilization of dump trucks for debris removal by the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the authorization for the Ohio National Guard to assist with debris removal starting Monday.
