City of Findlay issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.
The Findlay Police Department has promoted Justin Hendren to the position of Lieutenant. Lieutenant Hendren was sworn in by Mayor Christina Muryn at the Findlay Municipal Building today.
Lt. Hendren supervised the Hancock-METRICH Drug Task Force for the past 10 years.
Lt. Hendren began his career with the Findlay Police Department in 1999. He was hired as a full-time officer and was assigned to the Patrol Division. He promoted to Sergeant in 2007 where he worked in the patrol division prior to being assigned to the drug task force. Prior to his appointment at Findlay PD, he worked for the Pemberville Police Department.
Lt. Hendren has served as a Field Training Officer, a member of the Emergency Response Team, and was the Department’s Officer of Year in 2001.
Lt. Hendren is a graduate of North Baltimore High School. He is currently attending Eastern Gateway Community College majoring in business management with a human resources focus. Lt. Hendren will be assigned to the Special Services Division within the Department.
