Help Wanted for Swimming Pool

Hiring

City of Upper Sandusky recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Upper Sandusky is accepting applications for the following seasonal positions: Pool Manager, Lifeguard and Cashier for the Municipal Swimming Pool.

Pool Manager: Responsible for the operation of the municipal swimming pool, including but not limited to supervision of pool personnel, scheduling of employees and aquatic programming; monitoring water quality and completion of required paperwork; prepare and maintain financial and payroll reports; maintain pool area and ensure all facility rules and regulations are enforced for the safety of patrons and employees. First Aid and CPR/AED certification preferred.

Lifeguard: Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitor activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and assist swimmers; caution swimmers regarding unsafe areas; rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aid; maintain order in swimming areas; inspect facilities for cleanliness and performs custodial/maintenance as assigned; may assist with swimming lessons. Must possess a current lifesaving certificate or an instructor’s certificate, First Aid and CPR/AED certification.

Cashier General Description: Responsibilities include but are not limited to greet pool patrons; operate cash register and issue change to patrons; manage patron sign in sheet; sell concessions; custodial or maintenance as assigned.

Applications, and a copy of the job descriptions, can be picked up at the City of Upper Sandusky Municipal Building from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applications must be returned by March 24, 2022, unless an insufficient number of applications are received to fill these positions. Contact the Human Resources office at 419-731-2131 with questions.
