Get Ready for a Summer of Fun with Tiffin Parks and Recreation

City of Tiffin recently issued the following announcement.

The Tiffin Parks and Recreation Department is planning for a fun-filled summer in Tiffin, with pool and shelter reservations starting now and sign-ups for day camps coming soon.

The department has partnered with SportsMan Parks and Recreation Software to provide an improved service to register for parks programs and reserve facilities. The site is live now for shelter rentals and pool passes by visiting www.tiffinparks.com.

The City of Tiffin pool is open daily May 30-Aug. 14. Pool membership is $10 per person for the season and $5 for a single day pass for pool users ages 3 and older. Membership is preferred online through credit card.

Families can also rent the pool for parties or events on Saturdays and Sundays for a fee of $150 for up to 25 swimmers (rates increase with more swimmers). Visit the website for more information or to book a reservation.

Camps being offered during Summer 2022 include (all Xplore camps are $30, prices vary on other partner camps; registration limits vary):

  • Culinary Camp, May 31-June 2
  • Tennis Camp 1, June 6-9
  • Tennis Camp 2, June 6-9
  • Tennis Camp 3, June 6-9
  • Equestrian Camp (Welsh Ponies), June 13-14
  • Equestrian Camp (Paint Horses), June 15-16
  • Equestrian Camp (Clydesdales), June 17
  • Xplore Art, June 20-23 (free, sponsored by Tiffin Municipal Arts Commission)
  • Tiffin Youth Fire Academy, June 27-30
  • Golf Camp, July 5-7
  • Xplore Nature, July 11-14
  • Xplore the World, July 18-21
  • Xplore Space, July 25-28
  • Xplore Superheroes, Aug. 1-4

Also, celebrate the United States of America’s independence and the City of Tiffin’s Bicentennial with a bang on July 4! The annual Independence Day celebration includes expanded pool hours, food trucks, games and live music, including local musicians and a special appearance by country musician Darryl Worley. The pool is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m., music starts at 6 p.m. with performance by Worley at 8 p.m. and fireworks start at 10 p.m. More details will be released in the coming weeks.

Other upcoming events include Oakley Park clean-up 9 a.m.-noon April 2 (rainout date is April 9) and Earth Day celebration April 24 at Franciscan Earth Literacy Center, 194 St. Francis Ave.
