University of Findlay’s October session of Fridays at Findlay brings interesting insights from the med-tech company MediView. On Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, “MediView: Simplifying Healthcare Delivery with X-ray Vision” will be presented by Mina Fahim, Chief Executive Officer and President and Adam Rakestraw, Chief Development Officer, Co-founder and Chairman. The in-person event will take place in Winebrenner, TLB Auditorium on the University of Findlay’s campus from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
As part of this presentation, University of Findlay College of Health Professions’ students will demonstrate the usage of the augmented reality device, so the audience can get a look into the future of healthcare. The cost of registration for in-person attendance for Fridays at Findlay, which includes a hot breakfast, is $10 per person and $5 for students. MediView is a med-tech company that is refining and expanding technologies originally developed at the Cleveland Clinic. Fahim has a background in cardiovascular, radiology, orthopedics, diagnostic medical device leadership, product development, and commercialization. Throughout the years he has worked at Medtronic, Abbott, Beckman Coulter, Excelen, and now serves as CEO and President of MediView where they leverage augmented reality and artificial intelligence to simplify, democratize, and inform healthcare delivery. With some partners, Fahim is a serial entrepreneur in the Med-Tech and fintech spaces. He approaches his life with a foundation of trust, team, transparency, and a track record to encourage collaboration and innovation focused on advancing people’s everyday lives.
Rakestraw is an accomplished medical device professional with a breadth of experience in sales, marketing, new product launch, training, and management. He has worked extensively in spine, trauma, oncology, pain, vascular, imaging, and capital equipment. Rakestraw brings corporate, state government, and private practice legal experience to the team.
