Duringthe week of October 17, Tiffin University will honor its transfer students in observation of National Transfer Student Week. According to the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS), the purpose of the annual event is to “celebrate transfer students and their advocates who help(ed) them navigate the transition from one institution to another.”
“The transfer student population at TU is ever-growing,” said Cassie Paas, Assistant Director of Transfer, Articulation and Corporate Partnerships. “National Transfer Student Week marks an excellent opportunity to celebrate their unique accomplishments and dedication to completing their degrees. Transfer students are a diverse and valuable part of our community, and we will be holding several events during that week to recognize them – as well as the TU faculty and staff who support their academic endeavors.”
The University plans to host events throughout the week to show appreciation for its transfer students, including a pizza party, a photoshoot with a custom-made “I transferred” frame and will feature transfer student stories.
