Tiffin University’s Pfeiffer Library Awarded LSTA Grant Funding | Tiffin University
Tiffin University’s Pfeiffer Library has been approved for an open grant through the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) in the amount of $4,978. This will be used for the purpose of implementing technological innovations throughout its facilities. The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) provided the funding, which was administered by the State Library of Ohio.
The Pfeiffer Library will use this resource to open a print center in the fall of 2023 which will feature a poster printer, Cricut machine, laminator, binding machine and 3D printer in support of hands-on learning for students.
“We are excited to have been chosen as one of the LSTA grant recipients,” said Luann Edwards, Pfeiffer Library Director. “These additions will provide opportunities for our students to experiment with trending technologies they may not otherwise encounter until they are practitioners in their chosen field.”
“This will help our students tremendously, no matter their chosen field of study,” said Dr. Peter J. Holbrook, Provost and Chief Academic Officer. “Whether it be forensic science, commercial music or accounting, each of our students will benefit from this new one-stop-shop for all their printing and project needs.”
