Tiffin University doctoral students Anita Gregory and Erin Marchant completed a one-week cultural trip as part of their coursework in the Ph.D. program in global leadership and change. The October trip included a tour of Bucharest, the Village Museum and an excursion to the Transylvania region of Romania. They were also hosted by and conducted discussions with managers at Ziarul Financiar, Romania’s largest business publication, and Ursus brewery.

Gregory and Marchant also worked with the Tiffin University Bucharest campus MBA students on one of their case studies during the stay. “It was an amazing opportunity for us to learn about the culture and history of Romania, as well as discuss the current issues that businesses are facing with globalization,” said Gregory. “I’m very grateful that I was able to take advantage of this opportunity.”

According to Dr. Ken Rauch, Director for the Ph.D. program in global leadership and change, global travel opportunities are among the most instructive elements of the program.

“International travel with our Ph.D. faculty allows students to better understand society, the world and our place in it, and that could help Tiffin University Ph.D. graduates make the critical decisions that will shape our future.”

Andreea Vulpe, owner of Classy Romania in Bucharest, organized the trip. Vulpe is graduate of the Tiffin University MBA, Bucharest program.
