The City of Upper Sandusky is accepting applications for a full-time Street & Sanitation Worker. The successful applicant will assist with the construction, maintenance, and repair of city streets, landscapes, and facilities, operate light and heavy motorized equipment, hand, and power tools, and operate refuse truck to collect solid waste, household debris, and recyclable materials.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid Ohio driver’s license, and have a good driving record.  The employee will be required to obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license, maintain all required licenses, and remain insurable under the city’s vehicle insurance policy for the duration of employment.

Benefits include paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal leave; employer-sponsored health insurance on first day of employment; employer paid life insurance policy; enrollment in the OPERS retirement system with employee portion (10% of gross salary) picked up by the city. Starting pay is $15.50- $16.00 per hour.
