Congressman Bob Latta to Host Informational Meetings for Ohio Students Interested in Military Service Academies

Ohio, USA - Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH5) announced his office will be organizing two informational meetings for students and families from Ohio’s Fifth District, providing valuable insights into the United States Military Service Academy nomination and appointment process for the 2024 academic year.

The first informational meeting, to be held in Elyria, will take place on October 3rd, 2023, at 7 p.m. at the Transportation and Community Center located at 40 East Avenue, Elyria, Ohio 44035.

The second meeting will be held in Findlay on October 5th, 2023, at 7 p.m. at the Owens Community College, Findlay-area Campus. The address for the meeting is 3200 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio 45840, Education Center, Conference Room 111.

These meetings aim to inform potential student candidates about the congressional nomination process and offer an opportunity to interact with representatives from prestigious institutions such as the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy at New London.

Interested candidates can obtain an application for a military service academy nomination by attending one of the informational meetings or by visiting Congressman Latta’s website at latta.house.gov. The completed applications must be submitted no later than October 13, 2023, with all supporting documents due by October 27, 2023.
