2022: 53 coaches at institutions in Seneca County earned on average $42,264

Seneca County’s 53 coaches earned an average salary of $42,264 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 17th highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Ohio post-secondary schools during 2022.

Seneca County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Tiffin University stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $46,230.

Male coaches of men's teams received $47,749 on average in Seneca County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $39,934.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
