State Senator Bill Reineke has announced that more than $2.6 million in state funds have been allocated to three schools within Ohio's 26th district. The funding aims to enhance equipment for teaching students essential skills required in the workforce.

"Career technical education offers our next generation the preparation needed for countless careers, giving them the tools for successful futures," stated Reineke. "This investment in our students will benefit them and Ohio's workforce and business community for years to come."

The schools receiving funds include Bucyrus City Schools, which will receive $696,675.50 for advanced manufacturing; Elgin Local Schools, awarded $951,334.67 for allied health and nursing; and Tri-Rivers Career Center, which will get $962,732.00 for its constructions, advanced manufacturing, and welding programs.

These funds are part of the second round of the Career Technical Education Equipment grant program. This initiative was supported by Senator Reineke through H.B. 33, the state's main operating budget. Across both rounds of grants, a total of 16,875 students at 91 schools throughout Ohio will gain access to career technical education.
