Congressman Bob Latta recently met with General Steven S. Nordhaus at the House Guard and Reserve Caucus Reception. The meeting focused on General Nordhaus's military service and leadership in Ohio and nationwide. General Nordhaus, an Ohio native raised in Putnam County within Ohio's Fifth Congressional District, holds the position of 30th Chief of the National Guard Bureau and is a member of the Joint Chiefs Staff.

General Nordhaus has had a distinguished career, including his role as Commander of the 180th Fighter Wing at Toledo Air National Guard Base from January 2011 to December 2013. He was promoted to four-star general in October.

Congressman Latta expressed his admiration for General Nordhaus: "It was an honor to meet General Nordhaus, who now serves as Chief of the National Guard Bureau here in Washington. He has had a stellar career serving our nation, and I thank him for his continued service and leadership."
