City of Tiffin recently issued the following announcement.
As Seneca County’s Snow Emergency has been downgraded from a Level 3, parking restrictions on designated snow emergency routes have been lifted as of 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4. On street parking in those areas is again to be prohibited early next week as crews resume clean up in Downtown Tiffin.
Due to the volume of snow that had accumulated over Thursday and into Friday morning, road crews will resume clean up in Downtown Tiffin early next week. Residents are asked to have vehicles parked on the streets removed by 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, so that curbs can be completely cleared. This parking ban is to remain in effect until 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8.
On-street parking on designated streets is to be reopened to allow for people to patronize local businesses in Downtown Tiffin along the designated snow emergency routes.
Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz said, “While we continue to ask residents to use caution during this time, we also want to make sure we’re not putting a burden on our local businesses over the weekend. Thank you to our residents for their cooperation as we make a final push to remove the snow next week, and I extend my gratitude to our road crews who have worked tirelessly to keep our streets safe.”
